Accurate by design

One financial picture, without rewriting what happened.

Foreign currency should not turn your records into estimates. ClearCash preserves the original amount, then converts it only when you need a common view.

Keep the original

A £85 purchase remains £85 in your records. ClearCash never replaces the amount that actually happened.

Native amounts stay intact

Use the right date

Reports use the historical exchange rate from the transaction or balance date—not today's market rate.

How it works

Native first. Reporting when you need it.

  1. 1

Record the amount as it occurred

A purchase, account balance, or import remains in its original currency.

  2. 2

Match it to its historical rate

ClearCash uses the relevant daily ECB reference rate, including the most recent business-day rate where needed.

  3. 3

    Calculate your reporting view

Summaries and reports bring supported currencies together without changing your source records.

Questions, answered

Details that matter.

Can I have accounts in different currencies at the same time?

Yes. Each account and transaction keeps its native currency, while ClearCash converts supported amounts when it calculates your reporting totals.

Why might ClearCash's converted amount differ from my bank statement?

ClearCash uses ECB mid-market reference rates for reporting. Banks often apply their own rate and a foreign-exchange markup, so their settled amount can differ.

Are exchange rates updated in real time?

No. ClearCash uses daily ECB reference rates, which are appropriate for personal-finance reporting rather than currency trading.

What happens on weekends and public holidays?

When the ECB has not published a rate for that date, ClearCash uses the most recent available business-day rate.

Does ClearCash exchange or move my money?

No. ClearCash is a tracking and reporting tool. Currency conversion is for display and reporting only; ClearCash never moves or exchanges funds.
