Questions, answered

Details that matter.

Which banks does ClearCash support?

ClearCash connects to thousands of banks and credit unions through Plaid. Authentication happens directly with your bank inside Plaid's secure flow—your credentials are never shared with or stored by ClearCash.

What if my bank isn't supported by Plaid?

You can add it as a manual account and enter balances and transactions yourself, or import transactions from a CSV export. Manual and connected accounts work identically for reporting, net worth, and sharing.

How far back does my transaction history go?

For connected accounts, this depends on your bank—most make 12–24 months available through Plaid. If you need older history, you can bring it in with a CSV import.

Will importing a CSV create duplicates for a connected account?

ClearCash doesn't automatically deduplicate imported transactions against synced ones. If the date ranges overlap, you may see duplicates—import only the range not already covered by your Plaid connection.

What format does the CSV file need to be in?

A .csv file up to 100 KB with a header row and between 3 and 1,000 transaction rows. ClearCash auto-detects common column layouts, including separate debit and credit columns.
