Share with boundaries

Share what matters. Keep the rest yours.

Create a group for the people in a shared financial picture, then choose exactly which accounts and transactions belong there. Your personal accounts stay private by default—so a household, roommate, or family setup never means giving up your boundaries.

A group is a boundary, not a merger

Your financial life stays in your hands.

Groups create a shared view for the accounts and activity you choose. They do not combine everyone’s accounts into one profile, and they never expose a personal account just because you joined a group.

1
Create the group

Set up the shared space for the people involved—a partner, roommates, or family.

2
Add the members

Invite people directly, or add a placeholder for someone who doesn’t need a ClearCash login yet.

3
Choose what to share

Select the specific accounts and transactions that group should see.

Every account starts private. Nothing is shared until you complete step 3.

  • Create the group first, then decide what it can see.
  • Keep a personal account outside every group when it is not part of the shared picture.
  • Use distinct groups for distinct relationships and responsibilities.

People have clear roles

Give the right people the right level of access.

A group’s role controls who can administer the shared setup without changing what is private. Owners manage the group; editors can help keep it current; members can see what the group shares.

Questions, answered

Sharing without the surprises.

Does creating a group share all of my accounts?

No. A group is only the shared structure. Your accounts and transactions remain private until you explicitly choose to share them with that group.

Can I belong to more than one group?

Yes. You can use separate groups for different parts of life, such as a partner, roommates, or family, without merging those relationships or their financial information.

Can someone be included without having a ClearCash login?

Yes. You can add a placeholder member to include someone in a group’s split structure without inviting them to sign in. Add an email later if they should participate directly.

What happens when I remove a member?

They lose access to the group’s shared information going forward. Removing a member does not erase the group’s historical transaction record.

A shared picture without a shared identity.

Bring the right accounts and people together while the rest of your finances stays exactly where it belongs: with you.
